The craftsmanship, which can be defined as the production of the skills

The craftsmanship, which can be defined as the production of the skills acquired after the learning process with a great extent by hand, is the non-agricultural type of production before the Industrial Revolution. Along with the transition to machine production; craft production has lost its place in the economy, craftsmen have been crafted and craft products have been replaced by uniform products. Within this transformation, interest in craftsmanship has also decreased. But nowadays, there is an increase in interest in craftsmanship and craft products. It can be said that this increase has different reasons including cultural, social and economic. It is possible to evaluate active labor market programs, national and international decisions for the preservation of the tradition of handicrafts and the appreciation of the consumption of handicraft products in the new consumption habits in the postmodern society as examples of interest in craftsmanship. Within the scope of this study, the craftsmanship of craft products, which are the symbol of local culture in the global world, rather than re-craftsmanship, is discussed. According to this, first of all, the concepts of craftsmanship and craftsmanship are introduced and then the place of craftsmanship in the social life is evaluated in the pre-modern, modern and postmodern periods and the reasons of today's interest are evaluated.
